About

Welcome, gentle readers, to As I See It. My original blog, Oregon Bound, was created specifically to document our cross-country move from Tampa, Florida, to Portland, Oregon, and all the planning, processes, and events that we encountered in that year-long journey. That blog was then renamed to A Serving of Oregana sometime after the move and served to record events of daily living.

Living in an urban area as we did in Portland was far different from the suburban lifestyle we enjoyed throughout much of our marriage. The return to city life after so many years has been rejuvenating. Life is quite different now. We face new challenges and we enjoyed all the conveniences a thriving downtown has to offer. Condo Life examined this new and exhilarating environment.

Enter As I See It, my sister journal to Condo Life. Here I focus more yet another cross-country move from Portland, Oregon, as we return to our roots in New York City. I will talk about my retirement after 25 years as a business owner of a medical transcription service as well as some of my hobbies and interests including family and friends, our two very frisky cats, writing, reading, chess, and the pursuit of happiness in New York City. It is my pleasure to present As I See It – a braver gal’s eye view.
