CHEDDAR BAY BISCUITS

Air Fryer

Note: For Cuisinart Compact Toaster Oven TOA-28 — air fry at 325 for 8 minutes.)

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, about 4 oz.
  • 1 cup cold buttermilk*, see notes for substitution option
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted and cooled for 5 minutes

TOPPING

  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon parsley flakes.

DIRECTIONS

  1. Line air fryer basket with parchment paper or silicone pad.
  2. Mix together all dry ingredients.
  3. Add wet ingredients to dry and mix well. Do not overmix.
  4. Lightly grease a 1/4 cup and scoop out the dough with it. Arrange in air fryer.
  5. While the biscuits are baking, combine melted butter, garlic powder, and parsley. Brush the tops of the biscuits when they come out of the oven and serve immediately.
  6. Air fry @ 350 º until browned (about 10 minutes). Flip them after about 8 minutes..

* Buttermilk substitution:

1 tablespoon white vinegar + enough milk to make a cup. Let sit for 5-10 minutes.
