CHEDDAR BAY BISCUITS
Air Fryer
Note: For Cuisinart Compact Toaster Oven TOA-28 — air fry at 325 for 8 minutes.)
INGREDIENTS
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, about 4 oz.
- 1 cup cold buttermilk*, see notes for substitution option
- 1/2 cup butter, melted and cooled for 5 minutes
TOPPING
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon parsley flakes.
DIRECTIONS
- Line air fryer basket with parchment paper or silicone pad.
- Mix together all dry ingredients.
- Add wet ingredients to dry and mix well. Do not overmix.
- Lightly grease a 1/4 cup and scoop out the dough with it. Arrange in air fryer.
- While the biscuits are baking, combine melted butter, garlic powder, and parsley. Brush the tops of the biscuits when they come out of the oven and serve immediately.
- Air fry @ 350 º until browned (about 10 minutes). Flip them after about 8 minutes..
* Buttermilk substitution:
1 tablespoon white vinegar + enough milk to make a cup. Let sit for 5-10 minutes.
